Ignorance is not bliss
I must admit when the puppy mill stuff was brought up on the news and various shows(including Oprah) I thought they were making a big deal about it .Being inquisitive I decided to do some research on puppy mills. What I have found is horrid and disgusting. People with hundreds of dogs that are confined to tiny cages covered in poop. I have found Amish men who own puppy mills and it looks like a beautiful red barn but inside that barn is something that has burned an image in my brain.Hundreds of puppies and dogs neglected with no veterinary care at all.In asia they have open air markets and one of the vendors sells dog meat to the public!I have seen barrels and barrels of dead animals . Dogs that were matted so bad you couldn't even tell what kind of dog they were. I agree totally that this should be stopped immediately but with the pet stores continually asking for more pets this horrible practice continues. I saw a video of one Amish mans pens inside his barn.The lady was acting as if she was buying the place and he told her he made over 100,000 that year alone on dogs!this has to stop!!!
we have to stop this cruelty!!! Cruelty seems like much too light of a word compared to what these people are doing!I believe they should be kept in the same condition that they had their dogs in . An eye for an EYE!!!Since I saw this most horrible cruelty I have prayed everynight for it to stop! There are people out there that will capitalize on these furry babies til they drop dead!

hey:) I am a breeder , however, I am a hobby breeder. I don't believe in having a dog til your done breeding them and then giving them away!!This is a throw away world and people act like they can just throw away a dog and not worry about it anymore! That in itself is horrible enough but LOOK at what these puppy mills do to dogs!!! When one of my dogs is retired they stay right here with me (after being neutered or spayed) they are my family and you don't go around giving your family away now do ya?I went to the no kill shelter today close to our town and took them 80lbs of dog food because they have been having a rough time of it. The lady at the door said "what is that for?" I said for the dogs!! she couldn't believe it ! If people only knew that they can buy a $10.00 bag of cheap dog food and take it to their local shelter or rescue the world would be a better place!!
I once had a rescue that had been used for breeding and then thrown out. He was badly matted and deaf and the only thing he wanted to do at the age of 9 was to sit by me and be cuddled....he had never had affection!
they have nothing .Their whole life revolves around wheather they can make more puppies! Anyone who reads this please NEVER buy from a PET store!! All the chain pet stores that sell puppies support these horrible places!!Know your breeder!! e-mail and talk on the phone ! Make them let you see the parents of the pup and where the pup has grown up and spent it's first eight weeks of life!A good breeder will practically DRAG you to show off their dogs !! I know I do .I am very proud of my dogs and welcome anyone who will look at them !I will also let any of my dogs out of the kennel and show the folks what they are about so they know what to expect from their pup! SHOW THE LOVE ,DON'T SUPPORT PUPPY MILLS!!

It is a disgusting thought and Practice what they do and I too am an animal Lover.I Volunteer at my Shelters and Now I have 5 Rescue Dogs that are mine and 2 cats.I recently was placing ads for a homeless dog on websites that needed a good home and seen those Ads..I need a Female Chihuahua for Breeding Purposes.I will tell you that Whole Day I spent Online finding such Ads and they All heard what I think about them.There were so many I responded to that I never once received an email from their ignorance.I will say that I wished that everyone would quit Buying those dogs from Puppy Mills and such because the Shelters need help in finding them a Home.Another thing is I am appauled with people who have had an animal for more than 5 years and give them up to Shelters which I have seen so many times in a day and they would be crying when they did it.How the hell can you do that? I would make sure my dog was fed before I ate!Thats the bottom Line on that.This World is Nuts and it Disgust me to Look around and see what is Happening.It is good to know that there are more people like me out there in the World but You and I know there are plenty of Evil ones that still remain.I wish this Justice System would work in a way that whatever you do to someone or something "You are going to Receive the same treatment." I feel like our Country is Backwards anyway.If you steal from someone you go the Pen for Life but if you Kill someone you might get out in 6 Months! This is why you and I will never see the Day in our Lifetime that this will Stop. Breeders are out for a Quick Buck not realizing that they are Hurting that animal somewhere down the road.It is Sad and Finally taking Action on most Crimes but it is not Fast enough.I do know wherever you Live Keep watch for the Animals and Take care of them.They all call me the Patrol Lady here.
